Fiber optical attenuator is a kind of precision fiber optic device which can provide a certain attenuation according to the needs of engineering. As a kind of optical passive device, it is used to debug the optical power performance, calibrate the optical fiber instrument, and attenuate the optical fiber signal in the optical communication system. Fiber attenuator is made of attenuation fiber mixed with metal ion, which can adjust the optical power to the required level.

Service conditions of optical fiber attenuator: an optical device used when the input optical power of the optical fiber receiver exceeds a certain range or when measuring the sensitivity of the optical fiber receiver.
