Ethernet is the most widely used technology in the high performance LAN environment. Like Gigabit Ethernet, 10G Ethernet also supports single mode or multimode fiber. The use of 10G Ethernet enables network operators to choose the location of the data center more freely and can support multiple Park networks within 80 km at the same time. In the data center, the lower cost multimode fiber can be used as the backbone of the 10G network between switches and switches, or switches and servers. When the 10G backbone is built, the operators can provide high bandwidth services such as video streaming, medical images, and so on.

Ethernet is with advantages like low cost, wide application and backward direction. 10G Ethernet not only has high transmission speed, but also greatly improves its transmission distance. It can support both single mode fiber connection and multi-mode optical fiber connection. The transmission distance of 10G Ethernet connected by single-mode optical fiber can reach 80 km.
