Main Parameters Of Fiber Media Converter:

1, Transmitting Speed Rate

Including two types, single rate like 10M, 100M, 1000M and auto negotiation rate like 10/100M and 10/100/1000M

2, Fiber type, there are four types, single mode single fiber ( WDM), single mode dual fiber, multi mode single fiber (BiDi), multi mode dual fiber;

3, Optical transceiver ( fiber module), mainly divided into 1x9, GBIC, SFP, XFP (10Gpbs) and so on accordingly to package way.

4, Working wavelength range: main wavelength include 850nm, 1300nm, 1310nm for multi mode and 1310nm, 1490, 1550nm for single mode.

5, Transmitting distance, include the below situations:

100M SM media converter:20km, 40km, 60km, 80km, 100km, 120km;

100M MM media converter:2km~5km;

1000M SM media converter:20km, 40km, 60km, 80km, 100km;

1000M MM media converter:550m~1.5km

Single mode dual fiber above 35Km always use 1550nm wavelength, below 35km always use 1310nm wavelength, below 35km use FP laser and use DFB laser for above 35KM.

Existed 100Mpbs MM dual fiber media converter use 1310nm wavelength and the maximum transmitting distance is 5KM, existed 1000M multi mode dual fiber use 1310nm wavelength and the max. Transmitting distance is 1.5KM.

100M SM dual fiber with max. 120KM transmitting distance and SM single fiber media converter is cable to transmit max. 100Km. 1000M single mode dual fiber media converter is with maximum 100Km transmitting distance and transmitting distance for 1000M single fiber media converter can reach 80KM.

The transmitting is also related to wavelength, output optical power, receiving sensitivity.

6, Optical and electrical interface: fiber port type include SC, FC, ST, as for SFP media converter, it also can be LC. Electrical interface is RJ45 LAN cable port. The port quantity can be customized, like with one fiber port and one RJ45 port, with one fiber port and two RJ45 ports, with two fiber ports and three RJ45 ports, with one fiber ports and four RJ45 ports, with one fiber port and seven RJ45 ports and so on.

7, Management type: Management type or non-management type. As for management type, it still divide into different type according to different management type.

8, Power supply

Other than the input voltage range, Fiberall also provide internal power adapter or external power adapter for option, AC and DC power supply, Chinese standard power adapter and power cord, European power adapter and power cord, US power adapter and power cord and so on.

9, Different design, standalone type with shell or card type without shell, rack mounted chassis and so on.
