Ferrule Of Fiber Optic Pigtail

Fiberall fiber optic pigtail is available in both singlemode and multimode versions. Both singlemode and multimode versions come with a zirconia ceramic ferrule with pre-polished end face.

Optical fiber ceramic ferrule, also known as ceramic pin, it is a precision cylinder with a hole in the center, its material is nano zirconia (ZrO2) and it is with high precision, its diameter and roundness error is 0.5 microns only. Fiber connector with the ceramic ferrule including metal flange is detachable, which makes the connection and conversion of the optical channel more flexible.

The ceramic ferrule with 2.5mm outer diameter is also known as SC ceramic ferrule, it is mainly used for connector type FC, SC, ST. The ceramic ferrule with 1.25mm outer diameter is also known as LC ceramic ferrule and it is mainly used for LC, MU, LX.5 connector.

Production technology of ceramic ferrule : nano zirconia powder injection molding material formulation and forming technology; the forming technology is able to make long and thin holes with diameter of 0.125mm and length of 12 ~ 15mm; precision ceramic processing technology with a precision of 0.1 m; process control method for submicron grain sintering.
